And more
Ben was always a fun neighbor. One of my memories of Ben was, I asked him about little league and if he was playing. His response was, "N0, I got hit hard by that ball and it hurt." We loved that kid!!

I met him at a party last summer. Though it was only one time, I’ll never forget his amazing personality. He was easily one of the nicest, kindest, and most talented people I knew. His cooking was impeccable and he made everyone around him smile. I am still in disbelief and wish nothing but love and healing towards the Watkins family.

Ben, words cannot express how saddened I am about your passing. You were always there for me, for us and for everyone around you. You were always trying to make my day brighter, and I wish I did more for you.
Do us a favor and keep an eye on all of us.
Rest in peace my dear friend.

Ben was an incredibly kind soul.
Although I only had the opportunity to meet him in our psychology class, I know he was made to do great things.
He will forever leave a lasting mark in my life.
Thank you, Ben.

Ben, with the biggest smile on his face.
Playing soccer with William and Kannan between our houses, running around, just barely playing, just laughing.
You’re so loved. Miss you.

Ben, I know we shared times in school, but I feel that your presence was more than that. Your participation lit up a room and sparked conversation and insight amongst the class.
Thank you for being a part of something so great and I wish we could’ve made memories in psych.
You will always be in my memory.

Ben’s excitement for music and playing the horn was infectious.
Listening to him talk about how much he loved being a part of the band and horn section brought joy and excitement to all.

Ben was a truly kind and altruistic person.
On my first day here, I was very nervous, and despite not knowing me, he took time to console and reassure me that things would be OK.
He truly was a light of hope that good people still exist.

My kids will always remember when Amy, Abby and Ben came to South Orange to hang out. Ben made Janie laugh so hard that she wet her pants… We will always remember him!

The last time I saw you we were playing together in horn ensemble.
It was a joy and honor to play with you.

I didn’t know Ben personally, but he would always come into class ready to learn and listen to those around him. His love for music and baking inspired me as he would tell our professor of all his goals and aspirations.
It was a privilege to be in his presence, and I know his memory will be eternal with love.

I remember Ben and Abby enjoying themselves at the office Holiday party – and they were always so happy about their gifts. And from what I heard at the service, Ben was such an incredible person.
So many will miss him so much.

At Ben’s initiation into Phi Mu Alpha, he had his finger bandaged up. I asked what happened, and he said, “Oh I just cut my finger making dinner. I probably need stitches, but it’s fine.”
We all laughed. He showed up anyways.
Ben was dedicated, loving and supportive.
