Any day with him was a great day
It was tough to choose a favorite memory of Ben because any day with him was a great day. He always knew how to make my day, whether it was just seeing his smile or spending quality time with him.
Whenever I needed a friend, I could always rely on Ben to be there for me. He became one of my closest and most special friends.
One of my favorite memories of him was meeting him in Asbury Park. Chase and I drove down there to meet him at the boardwalk. We were so excited to see him. Ben gave us a tour of the entire park and showed us where he worked, which was a taco place. Chase and I had already eaten lunch, but Ben insisted on buying us both a taco to taste. We ended up splitting one but is was one of the best tacos I’ve had.
The three of us spent a lot of time talking while walking the boardwalk. Our conversations with Ben were the best. We could have our serious talks, but then other times we acted like our normal crazy selves together. Ben has such a great sense of humor and always cracked a good joke. He always made me smile, no matter how I was feeling.
The three of us also played mini golf together. We may not have been the best mini golfers, but we sure got a kick out of us all trying. He motivated us the entire time and we all laughed together at some points. By the end of the day, I felt like we really connected, and our friendship grew even stronger. Chase and I had such a great time with Ben that we did not want to leave.
I really appreciated everything that Ben did for me, Chase, and all of our friends. He really showed how much he cared for his friends because he never stopped at anything to make them happy.
If someone needed a ride, something fixed, or just someone to talk to, Ben would step right in to help. Ben taught me that there is still kindness in this world and that everything will work out okay.
I am beyond thankful that I’ve gotten to know Ben and spend quality time with him. I would do anything to see him again.
I’ll miss him for as long as I live.
