Ben had a way of bringing people close

Ben was key to our Wednesday night psychology class, full of good humor and good ideas, unusually gentle in the way he presented his thoughts. He was deeply caring – his classmates loved him already, as I did.

I remember one time when we had broken off into pairs to discuss an idea. Ben sought out a shy, quiet girl and asked if she would join him. She was so happy about that – even in simple interactions, Ben had a way of bringing people close, caring for them and elevating them.

I loved Ben and am grateful that he was part of class.
