Boots

One of my favorite events each year is making Christmas cookies. It is typically a 2-month long process and the family looks forward to eating multiple types of cookies each holiday.

When the kids were younger, they would come up for a day to “help” me make their favorite cookies.

One year Ben came up and wanted us to make cutout sugar cookies. He became infatuated with the boot shape and wouldn’t make any other shape. By the time that we got done, we only had boots. The whole time he just kept giggling and saying “Boooots, boooots!”

Ben loved the boots so much, he took the cutout home with him.

That year everyone got such a kick out of all the boots that we had during the holidays.
